General Description:
The Empress personifies the magnificent power of nature - she is the archetypal Earth Mother. She therefore represents 'homeliness', creativity, fertility, growth and the birth of something new. She represents our creative potential and our ability to absorb ideas and helps nurture them into something fully formed. She also represents fertility on the physical level, so pregnancy could be a feature of this card. She is artistic, imaginative and intellectual.
Meditation:
Look at ways in which you could be more creative, caring or nurturing. Are you feeling contented with your life, do you have some really great ideas but can't seem to get them 'off the ground'? Now may just be the right time to get that project going that you have always wanted to. Alternatively, are you bogged down in the material and feel the need to get 'back to nature' or at the very least, the grass roots of who you are? Take time to be at one with your 'self '. The Empress asks us to 'create' and in so doing, have abundance and prosperity in our lives.
